2012 Philips Product Launch

Hi Everyone

Yesterday we were very excited to attend the official Philips 2012 product launch at Philips headquarters surrey. AT LAST !! we have now seen the ins and outs of the full range and have also been given more details in regards to release dates. Here is a list of the new range with a small product description including UK model numbers and release dates. We have also managed to take some sneaky photos of the highly anticipated 6000, 7000, 8000 series.

The meeting started with a presentation outlining the developments of Philips in the next 12 months. And it is a very exciting time. The new ranges are fantastic and really have shown the endless possibilities of home entertainment.

Models which are intended for the UK market will have a model number like this.

3000/3500 Series

The 3000/3500 series is the range of entry level products.

4000 Series

The Philips 4000 series is the mid price point range. The 4000 series has a 200Hz Pixel Plus HD LED screen. The Philips 4000 series features SmartTv Plus with internet browser and BBCiPlayer. It can also be made wireless with the optional pta01 wireless WiFi adapter.

The Philips 4000 series is available in the following sizes:

4000 Series Video

6000 Series

The 6000 series are the first 3D (Passive) sets in the range. They include built in WiFi for use with the BBC iPlayer and SmartTv Premium features. 400Hz Pixel Precise LED screen. 2D/3D conversion. Includes 2 x pairs of glasses with the 32inch, 4 x pairs of glasses with the 42inch and above. 2 Sided AmbiLight. This year the range is also compatible with USB record.

PFL6007T Frame

The Philips 6000 series has now landed in the UK and we are currently waiting for it to be dispatched to retailers. We will be receiving them in the next two weeks. This process has taken slightly longer then anticipated as they were due in to us before the end of July. Philips has apologised for the delay but we can assure you that it will be well worth the wait.

7000 Series

The 7000 series is 800Hz 3D Max (Active) LED television. The design of this series is slightly different to the others as it has an aluminium effect frame. It includes the same features as the 6000 series but a benefit is that the remote control now includes a keyboard on the reverse. The speakers on the 7000 series are incorporated into its pedestal giving you a far superior sound. The pedestal also doubles up as a wall bracket. 1 x pair of active glasses are included in the box.

This year Philips is releasing a wide range of models for different countries. Unfortenly the philips website dose not show which model is being released in what country, this makes it very confusing when trying to choose the model you would like to purchase. BUT BE CONFUSED NO MORE !!!!. 2012 Philips Launch Event
